An aluminum monoblock caliper takes this high-performance
brake kit to an even higher level.
 ■High-durability,
high-precision, lightweight brakes have been achieved through use of a
monoblock aluminum 4-pod caliper.
■Most calipers are constructed in two pieces (separate type), but a monoblock
caliper fuses these pieces into one. This reduces caliper deformation
during sudden, hard braking, and improves braking performance.
■ Elimination of bolt-induced elongation provides for linear braking characteristics.

With other types of brakes, when pressure from the piston applies
the pad to the disc, force is also applied to the caliper alignment
eye, causing a loss in braking performance. However, with our brakes,
because the monoblock caliper is a single piece, this loss does not
occur, thus achieving more linear, direct braking. |
